Vancouver Women default game against Crimson Tide - no game this Saturday

[ed. comments below]
posted May 25 2007

In a move that doesn't bode well for women's rugby, the Vancouver team defaulted their game against the Vancouver Island Crimson Tide. From various sources the reasons given were: Vancouver couldn't get enough numbers; Capilano have their banquet tonight so the Capilano women dropped out of the team. Either way it doesn't send a good message. I wonder how the advent of the new National Women's League has impacted the availability of players for regional games?
