The archived version of the game can be found at: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/5240968

OK here is the link to the live broadcast http://www.ustream.tv/channel/caps-vv-mar2010

We're going to try another live broadcast from Velox with the Caps visiting this time. Game time is 2:45pm tomorrow and we'll post the link just before game time as we'll likely connect and test prior to that.

We're still in the experimental stage and hope to improve a few things this time. We'll try to use the Flash encoder for better video quality, so we'll see how that goes. Also I'll try to procure an audio mixer today so we can have two commentators, one for play by play and the other for analysis, we hope to get one of the injured players for that. In order to make it more interactive you can post comments on the feed and we'll pass some of these to the commentators to address in their coverage. We'll be blooding a new cameraman so you may want to send suggestions to him as well.

This looks to be our team for the day:

Commentary
Tim Turner
Clay Panga

Camera
Jesse Bauman

2:55pm update

So the link to the archived game is at: www.ustream.tv/recorded/4881402

It was an interesting experience, the feed hung up on us about 10 minutes in so we had to restart and that's why the first 10 minutes are missing from the archived version. It was a team effort with Tim Turner doing the commentary, very well I might add, Steve Neish doing the camera and yours truly manning the computer equipment. We had fun interacting with people from around the world with their online comments and emails, we only had 70 viewers but it was the first try and we didn't really advertise the event. We'll learn and move ahead at the next home game. Again I would encourage all Premier clubs to have high-speed internet at the field level and give this a try. Email me for tips and help on setting it up.

UStream seemed to hang on us, it wasn't at our end. Ustream is free but not the highest quality. If you're reading try refreshing now and we're back streaming.

We're off air for 15 minutes back at 2:45pm when the Premier game starts.

We're trying an experiment here with live streaming, go to this link to view:

www.ustream.tv/channel/bcrn-test/

We're just covering the last part of the division 1 game as a test so help us to fine tune this broadcast.

Send comments to editor@bcrugbynews.com and we'll pass them on to the commentator.
